Test Blog 17

A blog (a truncation of "weblog")[1] is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (posts). Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page. Until 2009, blogs were usually the work of a single individual,[citation needed] occasionally of a small group, and often covered a single subject or topic. In the 2010s, "multi-author blogs" (MABs) emerged, featuring the writing of multiple authors and sometimes professionally edited. MABs from newspapers, other media outlets, universities, think tanks, advocacy groups, and similar institutions account for an increasing quantity of blog traffic. The rise of Twitter and other "microblogging" systems helps integrate MABs and single-author blogs into the news media. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Freshly installed Windows OS updates can sometimes get out of hand and cause unexpected bugs during everyday operation. In one such instance, Update KB4512941 (Build 18362.329) of Windows 10 is reportedly causing Cortana (SearchUI.exe) to eat up CPU resources on a number of PCs. The news of this bug comes from Windows Latest, which received word of at least two recent cases in which this problem was undoubtedly apparent. Microsoft, as you can see in this support document, has yet to acknowledge the problem, let alone fix it.

In March this year, we reported that Amazon's Echo line-up commanded a 59-percent market share in 2018 while Google came second with a 39-percent market share for the same year. Now, however, there's a slight chance of that changing. Enter the Google Nest

The Asus ROG Phone that launched last year essentially kickstarted the gaming phone genre in the Indian market. It was the first to arrive, albeit a little late as compared to other markets, but it was soon followed up by the likes of the Black Shark 2 and the Nubia Red Magic 3. As a result, the successor to the ROG Phone will have a lot of competition to beat. The ROG Phone II launched in China on Monday and while there's no confirmation on when the smartphone will launch in India, we did find ourselves holed up in a hotel room with a brand new ROG Phone II unit and all the accessories it comes with. Microsoft has announced the roll-out of its Windows 10 19H2 Insider Preview Build to Windows Insiders in the Slow ring. This new update was previously teased to be a relatively small update that brings improvements and small enhancements to features brought in the Windows 10 May 2019 Update. This is true since the new update brings only four new changes and improvements. However, one of the changes hints at a bigger feature that could soon make its way to Windows 10. With this update, Windows will enable voice activation of third-party digital assistants 'above' the lock screen. It seems that 'above' the lock screen means that one could call up a digital assistant even when their computer is locked.

In order to break into further market segments, however, improvements in performance are still needed. Organic semiconductors enable the fabrication of large-scale printed and mechanically flexible electronic applications, and have already successfully established themselves on the market for displays in the form of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In semiconductor technology, doping refers to the targeted introduction of impurities (also called dopants) into the semiconductor material of an integrated circuit. Even the smallest Tester amounts of these can have a very strong influence on electrical conductivity.

Molecular doping is an integral part of the majority of commercial organic electronics applications. Not many smartphones under Rs 6,000 can boast of features like an octa-core processor, a camera that trickled down from phones that cost twice as much and a basic, but comforting design. The new Redmi 7A ticks all those boxes and as such, it could be an excellent contender for the go-to option in the entry-level segment. However, even with the set of features the Redmi 7A packs, it's still very much entry-level and if you are expecting this to be anything else, you will be disappointed.

Apple will hold its Worldwide Developers Conference at its Cupertino campus in California to give a peak into what's in store for Apple products this year. WWDC is when Apple releases its annual refreshes of operating systems for its range of products. We expect new versions of iOS, macOS, watchOS and maybe some new hardware as well. Apple also hosts important workshops and development sessions with thousands of attendees.

The opening keynote session will be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California and is expected to start from 22:30 IST on Monday. You can catch the livestream on Apple's Events page in the official website which can be viewed on both Apple and non-Apple devices using the standard browsers. Here's what to expect from WWC 2019 —

IOS 13 FOR IPHONES

Apple is expected to release the next-generation iOS, most likely to be named iOS 13 for iPhone and iPads. There are quite a few rumours around the upcoming version. Dark mode, for one is highly anticipated. It's already present in macOS Mojave and might finally become a reality for iPhones and iPads as well. Having a dark mode will not only help the eyes, but also cut down on power consumption. There could also be a new Sleep Mode feature that mutes incoming notifications and reduces the lock screen brightness.

Even the smallest amounts of these can have a very strong influence on electrical conductivity.

Molecular doping is an integral part of the majority of commercial. organic electronics applications. Until now, however, an insufficient fundamental physical understanding of the transport mechanisms of charges in doped organic semiconductors has prevented a further increase in conductivity to match the best inorganic semiconductors such as silicon..

These dopants function as intentional "disturbances" in the semiconductor that can be used to specifically control the behaviour of the charge test carriers and thus the electrical conductivity of the original material. Doping is the answer

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

Look, it's fine, go ahead and make your jokes about us only "growing up now" or finally being an adult, or even the tongue-in-cheek jibes about us being 'barely legal' etc. We've heard it all, a lot of which we can't repeat in public…

Some of you have been there every step of the journey, whilst others may not even have been born when we started this brand back in 2001. However, because you're reading this, you're a member of the Digit family, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us grow consistently over the past 18 years. But enough of all the touchy-feely stuff, we're not here to blow our own horn, we're just using our 18th Anniversary as a theme to give you even more content than we regularly do, across all the mediums we cover.

First up, for those of you purists who still prefer reading indepth articles on paper instead of whatever screen you're seeing this on, our magazine is out on stands now, and it's packed to the brim with stuff we think you're going to love.

Perhaps the most dynamic price segment for smartphones, the sub-Rs.15,000 segment is one of the fastest growing. Not only is it the fastest moving segment, but it is also the segment that is seeing very aggressive boost in specs. The camera has been one of the most in-demand areas of improvement on smartphones in this price segment, and over the last year, manufacturers have tried their best to deliver. We have sifted through the plethora of phones and shortlisted the top three; the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Realme 3 Pro(₹ 13999 at flipkart) and the Samsung Galaxy M30(₹ 14990 at amazon). Of the three, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is the only smartphone with a 48-megapixel sensor, which puts it at an advantage. We put the three devices through our testing to see just how good the three are in comparison to each other.

It's raining Redmi phones this year with the Redmi Note 7S(₹ 10999 at flipkart) becoming the sixth phone to launch from Xiaomi's stable this year. It's part of the Redmi Note series and shares a lot of commonality with the other two phones in the series - Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. But the primary differentiator in the Redmi Note 7S is the 48MP camera on the back of the phone. Starting Rs 10,999, it's the most affordable 48MP phone to launch in India so far. But you must be wondering how Xiaomi is selling two 48MP camera phones at two different prices. The answer to that is in the camera hardware.

The Redmi Note 7S uses the Samsung ISOCELL 48MP sensor, while the Redmi Note 7 Pro uses the Sony IMX586 48MP sensor. There's also little separating the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7S, save for the high-resolution camera, and the only thing separating the Redmi Note 7 Pro from the Redmi Note 7S, is the Snapdragon 675 SoC. the Redmi Note 7S uses the Snapdragon 660 SoC. Essentially, the Redmi Note 7S is for those who want the 48MP camera without the need for a high-performance, latest-gen CPU.

We received the Redmi Note 7S Onyx Black colour variant a day before the device was announced. We have set it up and are presently testing the device for an in-depth review. Here's how it's shaping up —

There was a long debate in our office when the OnePlus 6T had come out regarding where the phone fits. Is it a flagship? Or the flagship killer? The OnePlus 6T still had a few trade-offs, that some agreed kept it from being an out-and-out flagship, but the performance of the phone was right up there with the best, sometimes even beating them. Thankfully, there's no debate in case of the new OnePlus 7 Pro. Having breached the Rs 50,000 mark in the Indian market, the latest offering from OnePlus is a thoroughbred premium flagship competing with the most expensive smartphones in almost every aspect, be it the display or the performance or the design.

Samsung has been on a rampage of sorts, releasing one phone after another. Since January, we've had the company launch multiple phones in their S, M and A series, with the newest entrant being the Samsung Galaxy A70. The Samsung Galaxy A70 is a Snapdragon 675 powered smartphone, which is refreshing seeing how Samsung has a penchant for sticking its own SoCs into the smartphones they sell in India. There is no doubt that Samsung has tried to make the A70 a lucrative device, but is the price tag of Rs 28,990 justified for a mid-range SoC powered smartphone? We spent quiet a lot of time with the phone to find out the answer to that question, and turns out, the answer is a lot more nuanced than a simple Yes or No.

Intel Extreme Masters in Sydney kicked off today in Sydney, Australia, but we spent a better part of the day walking through the massive demo area where we sighted the Asus ROG Mothership. In case you're wondering what that is, the ROG Mothership (GZ700) is Asus's adventurous form-factor for a gaming machine. We got to spend some time with an engineering sample which was not running any games, to get a glimpse of what the future of gaming laptop form-factors could be.

advertisements

The Asus ROG Mothership is a very unique take on a gaming laptop. It's a detachable gaming machine, with all the important components being housed in the display assembly. The keyboard attached to a set of magnetic pins and can also be used detached, via Bluetooth. The keyboard on the machine offers quite a bit of travel, almost 1.8mm of it and of course sports the usual RGB treatment. The ROG Mothership comes with a built-in kickstand, just like the Microsoft Surface so that it can stand upright.

The Realme 3 Pro certainly lives up to the "Pro" moniker. It's significantly more powerful and faster than the regular Realme 3, but that's not its competition. The Realme 3 Pro's closest rival is the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the company CEO Madhav Seth left no stone unturned to compare the device to Xiaomi's best-seller. To be fair, both phones are incredible close in terms of both performance and camera. The UI is vastly different and while the Redmi Note 7 Pro offers ads on the homescreen, the Realme 3 Pro has greatly improved UI aesthetics. Finally, the Realme 3 Pro is perhaps the best gaming phone under Rs 15,000, and as a result, it is the perfect alternative to the Redmi Note 7 Pro which is focused on more on the camera.

In order to break into further market segments, however, improvements in performance are still needed. Organic semiconductors enable the fabrication of large-scale printed and mechanically flexible electronic applications, and test have already successfully established themselves on the market for displays in the form of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). In semiconductor technology, doping refers to the targeted introduction. of impurities (also called dopants) into the semiconductor material of an integrated circuit. Even the smallest amounts of these can have a very strong influence on electrical conductivity.

Molecular doping is an integral part of the majority of commercial organic electronics applications. Until now, however, an insufficient fundamental physical understanding of the transport mechanisms of charges in doped organic semiconductors has prevented a further increase in conductivity to match the best inorganic semiconductors such as silicon..

These dopants function as intentional "disturbances" in the semiconductor that can be used to specifically control the behaviour of the charge carriers and thus the electrical conductivity of the original material. Doping is the answer

On being asked what the best moment of the entire tournament was, the team unanimously said "when we walked into the stadium." Elaborating further, they said that "it was an incredible feeling, walking into the stadium for such a major international tournament, with the crowd cheering us, that too in our own town. It felt really nice…now we know what cricketers must feel like when they walk into the stadium." Addressing their loss, the team said that "this was still a great opportunity for us. We realise that there is a lot of scope for improvement and we'll keep practicing and do better next time."

Elder Scrolls: Blades Early Access initial impressions: Fun game, but not an Elder Scrolls title

I'll be honest, I have a soft spot for Bethesda. Elder Scrolls Morrowind was one of the first RPGs I ever played and I was hooked on to the genre. Then came Fallout 3 and the love affair continued. All the games that followed in the series offered me exactly what I expected from a Bethesda RPG. A vast open world filled with loot to find, quests to complete and enemies to vanquish. I spent countless hours playing these games with absolutely no regrets.

So when Bethesda Game Director, Todd Howard announced new installments of Fallout and Elder Scrolls, I was giddy like a schoolgirl. Then I played the B.E.T.A of Fallout 76 and… well… you can read about that here. Suffice to say, I was disappointed. Maybe Elder Scrolls: Blades can redeem my feelings for Bethesda. A RPG for the mobile, count me in.

In the past, several cybersecurity firms have already claimed that hackers are actively using sophisticated ways to attack people's devices, and now, at a time when binge watching is a prevalent trend globally, these cybercriminals are infecting devices with malware by using the names of popular TV shows. According to Kaspersky Labs, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Arrow are the shows receiving the most attention from attackers to execute a strike.TV shows have become one of the most popular sources of entertainment globally, however, other methods of digital distribution like torrents and illegal online streaming pose threat to devices on which the content is downloaded/consumed. "In many regions, unlike legitimate resources, torrent trackers and hosted files may send a user a file that looks like an episode of a TV show, but is in fact malware with a similar name," Kaspersky Labs said in its 'Game of Threats: How cybercriminals use popular TV shows to spread malware' report. In the past, several cybersecurity firms have already claimed that hackers are actively using sophisticated ways to attack people's devices, and now, at a time when binge watching is a prevalent trend globally, these cybercriminals are infecting devices with malware by using the names of popular TV shows.
